Walmart Open Call to promote “Make in America”

Do you have a product made, sourced or grown in the U.S. that belongs on store shelves across the country? Well, Walmart is serving up a chance at the big break one has been looking for. Now through April 30, Walmart is accepting applications for its 6th annual Open Call for products that support American jobs.

While finding products that fulfill the needs of its customers is a year-round focus, Open Call is a two-day event for Walmart buyers to meet face-to-face with entrepreneurs with one goal in mind: buy more American products.  “Through hundreds of meetings with our buyers, we make it easy for supplier hopefuls to showcase their products and potentially get them in the hands of millions of Walmart customers. During Open Call, companies large or small and from all corners of the country have a shot at the American Dream,” says Cindi Marsiglio, Walmart Vice President-  Merchandising Services and U.S. Manufacturing.  “We believe that supporting American products and American jobs makes sense for our customers, our community and our company. We’re leading the way through our commitment to purchase an additional $250 billion in products made, sourced or grown in the U.S. by 2023. Our sixth annual Open Call underscores that commitment and helps us make a difference on an issue our customers care about,” she adds.
