BEXIMCO Industrial Park in Dhaka visited by Ethiopian Delegation

A  delegation led by Teka Gebreyesus, State Minister of Trade & Industry, recently visited BEXIMCO  Industrial Park in Dhaka,to see it’s vertically integrated set-up. The Ethiopian delegation was highly impressed with BEXIMCO’s setup. The Minister said, Ethiopia would be proud to build an industrial park similar to this and Ethiopia would welcome and support BEXIMCO to invest in Ethiopia.

The BEXIMCO management discussed its plans to set up a textile and apparel unit in Ethiopia. Syed Naved Husain, BEXIMCO’s CEO for textiles, visited Ethiopia in 2016 to assess the feasibility of investing in Africa, and also visited the Hawassa Industrial Park in Ethiopia.

BEXIMCO Industrial Park houses majority’s of the group’s state-of-the-art manufacturing plants with a highly cost effective manufacturing base. This facility provides ready access to captive power generation, water purification, liquid nitrogen, waste water treatment and other key infrastructure. The Group’s global clients include some of the world’s best known brands including Calvin Klein, H&M, JC Penney, Macys, Zara, to mention a few.
